Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir police today claimed to have killed another militant in south Kashmir’s Tral area of Pulwama district, taking the total death toll of militants to four.

Talking to a social networking site Twitter DGP SP Vaid wrote: “One more terrorist killed taking the total to 4”

Earlier, three militants, a soldier and SOG personnel were killed in the fierce gunfight in the forests.

Official sources said that during the searches one more militant body was recovered along with a rifle at Goiytengo forests.

A joint team of forces along with the additional reinforcement intercepted the militant group at the upper side of the Goiytengo forests who earlier fled after a brief exchange of gunfire.
