JAMMU : More muck is surfacing in the recently exposed flesh trade racket at Qasim Nagar. On Monday, during searches at den of shame presided over by one Swarna , the police team rescued one more minor girl belonging to Muslim community. Earlier, on the eve of women day, the police during a raid at Swarna’s residence rescued a 14 years old girl of Katra.
Slowly and steadily, more skeletons are tumbling out from the brothel of POCSO accused Swarna which deserve in-depth probe through SIT, asserted residents of Qasim Nagar who have launched signature campaign for sealing den of shame as per PITA provisions.
Our reliable sources revealed that today a search party led by SHO Bagh e Bahu police station conducted searches on the premises of accused Swarna during which one girl aged 13 years was rescued besides recovered syringes used for drug addiction. “The girl child was in state of shock and we are trying to ascertain more details as to how she arrived at the residence of notorious lady in Qasim Nagar”. In all probability, this minor girl has undergone the same trauma faced by one already rescued hindu girl, added sources.
It is reliably learnt that Swarna who was recently booked under POCSO Act had a strong network of some individuals who boasted of their connect in Judiciary, Police and civil society besides local media.
Flying high on the crutches of these well wishers, she was running a full fledged brothel and drugs addiction centre at H.No 197 in Qasim Nagar with impunity. There is no denying the fact this lady wielded a clout of her own by supplying girls to her clientele comprising some businessmen, officers from civil and police administration.
In the past this notorious lady was booked in several criminal cases and despite initiation of History Sheeter process, she remained scot free and still managed not to get her notorious photo pasted on History Sheeter Board at Bagh e Bahu Police station.
Surprisingly, the day Swarna was arrested on Feb 8, 2023, the battery of lawyers was there to demand status report of the matter from police forthwith for securing her release despite knowing that she has been booked in most heinous crime. It is an admitted fact that Swarna was running a inter and intra state prostitution racket either by luring teenage girls or by coercing them for years together along with sale and consumption of drugs at her brothel through her chain of pimps.
The rescued girls child were sexually exploited by endless list of influential persons and the sensitivity of the matter demands independent probe through constitution of Special Investigation Team comprising officers of impeccable integrity, said Shabnam Nahid, a resident of Qasim Nagar, who relentlessly single handedly spearhead the campaign in media for the last 2 years against running of a brothel in residential area by notorious Swarna.
