JAMMU: In a firm resolve to demolish the devilish web of narco terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, the police on Wednesday has attached property worth crores owned by a notorious history sheeter and drug dealer in Ragoora area under the jurisdiction of Bagh e Bahu Police station.
The action was initiated under operation ‘Sanjeevani’ following which immovable property belonging to Fareed Ali s/o Jamat Ali r/o Ragoora , Jammu was seized under section 68-F of NDPS Act 1985.
During investigation, prima facie it was established that the residential house owned by Fareed Ali has been acquired from proceeds of illicit trafficking of narcotic and psychotropic substances.
History sheet of Fareed Ali reflects that he was earlier booked in FIR No 92/2020 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act PS Bagh e Bahu Jammu, FIR No 40/2022 u/s 8/15/29 NDPS Act PS Bagh e Bahu, Jammu, FIR No 120/2022 u/s 8/15/29 NDPS Act PS Bagh e bahu Jammu and FIR No 90/2023 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act PS Bagh e bahu Jammu.
Entire sealing operation of accused property was executed under the personal supervision of SP (South), Jammu, Ajay Sharma and team of officers comprising SDPO (East), Jammu, Shehzad Bhat and SHO Bagh e Bahu, Inspector Vijay Verma.
Pertinent to mentioned here that Ragoora was notorious for free for all sale of drugs and narcotic substance in and around several shady restaurants raised on state land along roadside Narwal -Sidhara National Highway which earned ignominy for indecent activities and attracting drug addicts.
