The Principal Sessions Judge, Leh has pronounced series of judgements against drugs ,crime and forgery cases.
As per available details, the Principal Sessions Judge (Special Judge) Leh, Manoj Parihar, has convicted Bashir Ahmad Paray, s/o Ali Mohd Paray, R/o Keller, Pulwama, Kashmir for forging school discharge certificate and using the same as genuine to secure bail, which has been observed by the court as a well planned act of deception to fiddle with the very foundation of judicial judicial integrity.
Earlier, in a major NDPS case, Dhoni Chand of Kullu, Himachal Pradesh, was convicted for possessing 8.19 kg of Charas and sentenced to 12 years’ rigorous imprisonment along with a ₹1 lakh fine.
In another case, the court had sentenced Muzzafar Ali of Chushot Yokma to 12 years imprisonment under the J&K Protection of Children from Sexual Violence (JKPOCSV) Act and 5 years under the RPC in a case of child sexual abuse.
In all these three cases, Assistant Public Prosecutor Nawang Nurbu argued with resolve which played significant role in award of punishment to accused persons.
