In a strategic shift, the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has decided not to enter the electoral arena for the time being, choosing instead to strengthen its grassroots presence through a nationwide public outreach programme titled ‘Kya Bolti Public’.

The decision was taken during a two-day meeting of the party’s national leadership, where members resolved to focus on engaging directly with citizens, particularly the youth, before making any electoral debut. Scheduled to begin in September, the campaign aims to gather public feedback on issues such as unemployment, education reforms, examination irregularities and governance.

Alongside the outreach initiative, the party has also announced a nationwide membership drive to expand its organisational network. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke said the campaign is intended to amplify the voice of ordinary citizens and shape the party’s future course based on people’s concerns rather than electoral compulsions.

The development marks a significant change in CJP’s strategy, signalling its intent to evolve as a grassroots movement focused on public participation before taking the plunge into electoral politics.
