Srinagar: Appreciating  state government’s decision to ban begging in Srinagar , Independent MLA Langate Er Rasheed has said that the move needs to be extended in every nook and corner of the state and should be followed by deporting thousands of uninvited guests who have occupied state land in every nook and corner of Kashmir.

Er Rasheed in a statement said, “the government’s decision to ban begging in Srinagar and Budgam is a welcome move but should not be the end of the story.”

“As we have been asking government time and again to take notice of thousands of outsiders who are neither skilled nor unskilled labourers nor tourists, have become a nuisance for the entire society,” said Er Rasheed.

“There is no official record being maintained about these suspicious families and their every action is doubtful, as they do not do any work but remain idle throughout the day. In absence of any work one wonders why do they travel from rest of India to Kashmir without a purpose and how do they manage their livelihood,” Er Rasheed said.

Er Rasheed asked the government to deport them without further excuses and added that otherwise Kashmiris will be compelled to throw these uninvited suspicious guests out of the valley.
