    Army rescues pilgrims in Sihar Baba

    Reasi: Indian Army headed a joint rescue and relief operation when information was received regarding a massive landslide in Sihar Baba in which, 8 pilgrims had lost their lives and 26 were injured. Army units based in Reasi and Talwara, along with JK Police and CRPF did a commendable job of rescuing the pilgrims and evacuating the casualties and injured to the district hospital at Reasi, after rendering first aid.

    Earth moving equipment of Indian Army was pressed into service to reduce the water level at the location to hasten the rescue and relief operation thereby, saving numerous precious lives. The rescued pilgrims appreciated and thanked the Indian Army for its virtuous effort of rescuing them and saving their lives, without hesitating even for a moment.
