Jammu: Merely to save few bucks, a retired Chief Engineer who is currently rehabilitated in Shri Mata Devi Shrine Board lobbying all pressure tactics to carry on unauthorised construction in posh Green Belt area of Gandhinagar.
Reliable sources disclosed that the enforcement staff of Jammu Municipal Corporation on a complaint visited the spot and noticed that a new building is under construction at 42 C/C Gandhi Nagar.
The said building belongs to one M.M.Gupta, a retired Chief Engineer who at presently heading engineering wing in SMVDSB.
Sources disclosed that the owner of the building started new construction after demolishing old structure in totto without seeking any approval from the JMC.
As the new residential structure is being raised after demolishing the entire old structure, the owner of the premises first need to get the construction site plan approved from the BOCA after depositing the requisite fees as per the construction plan, said sources.
However, when we confiscated the construction material and questioned this unauthorised construction, the owner of the building start exerting influence, alleged sources.
Number of influential people including a retired PSC member besides others now pressuring us to spare this illegal construction, added sources.
