Jammu : To allay mess prevailing in Jammu Municipal Corporation functioning, the Commissioner Pankaj Magotra has did another experiment by shouldering the responsibility of Chief Enforcement Officer to two senior KAS officer posted in JMC.
Reliable sources disclosed that in an order issued today by JMC Commissioner, Sunaina Mehta and Prem Singh Chib were assigned additional assignment of CEO of enforcement wing.
As per order, Sunaina Mehta who is also holding charge of a crucial assignment pertaining to advertisement, now as Chief Enforcement Officer will look after the Jammu South areas whereas, P.S.Chib will supervise areas of old Jammu city.
Among four KAS officers posted in JMC, Sunaina Mehta has the longest tenure of two years posting as Secretary JMC while P.S.Chib is Assistant Revenue Officer, JMC.
Pertinent to mention here that JMC has two experienced enforcement officers namely Kamini Kessar and Rajesh Gupta who are attached since long due to internal politics prevailing in JMC.
Its for the first time in the history of JMC that two KAS officers were given charge of such a post which is far below than their current grade.
Sources further disclosed that Chib may not accept this new additional assignment. However, Mehta would likely to accept new role of Chief Enforcement Officer in addition to her own duty as Secretary to prove her mettel in controlling the current mess in JMC with vigour.
