Lavasa kept in Dark about tainted Ramesh Wazir

Jammu: Moving stoutly against self created chaos, the newly appointed Commissioner Avny Lavasa have initiated the process to weed out the mess prevailing in the Jammu Municipal Corporation especially for the last few months.
As a first step in this direction, commissioner JMC has resscinded the controversial and ill advised order No JMC /BS/773-84 dated 21/09/2019 wherein the secretary as well as ACR were assigned with additional charge of Chief Enforcement Officer of Zone 1 and Zone 2 besides sanitation officials were empowered with additional charge of Khilafwarzi inspectors.
As per the order No JMC/Estt/11274-80 dated 3/3/2020, while releiving secretary JMC as well as ACR from the powers of 7(1) and 12(1) under J&K Building Operation Control Act, 1988, Avny has also relieved the officers of sanitation wing from the additional burden of enforcement work.
In addition, she also assigned active duties to several attached officers/inspectors of enforcement wing who were are facing charges on different accounts.
“With this order, the estrange order done in the past for the reasons best known to the then Commissioner and Secretary has come to an end and this will go a long way in improving the sanitation work in the JMC jurisdiction, asserts one officer of JMC.
It’s worth to mention here that JKGN has carried a story dated Feb 03, 2020 highlighting deplorable condition of sanitation prevailing in the JMC wards due to administrative chaos prevailing in the JMC.
Now, the commissioner has initiated a right step in ending the long prevailing mess in the JMC but have to remain careful while posting the controversial Enforcement Inspector Ramesh Wazir in sensitive wards.
The 6th and 7th General House Meeting of JMC has witnessed pandemonium due to accusation by several councillors against Enforcement Inspector Ramesh Wazir for alleged large scale corruption during his 7 month posting in Gandhi Nagar, Shastri Nagar and Nai Basti.
It seems Commissioner Avny was kept in dark while assigning role of sensitive wards to Ramesh Wazir who is already facing enquiry for shielding illegal constructions in Gandhi Nagar.
