JAMMU: A gardener turned editor of one miniscule English daily newspaper having capacity of printing only 50 copies have earned mastery in the art of blackmailing certain officers in state administration with the covert support of his daughter who is a direct recruited gazetted officer in J&K Union Territory administration.
Claiming to be self styled public oriented icon and Rakshak of residential colonies this editor have a strong nexus of shoddy PIL activists and one lawyer who set fielding to exploit officers and private perosns for under table deals as part of ransom to allow constructions in fast emerging commercial hub in the Jammu.
Bragging of hollow honesty, this editor of English newspaper has fraudulently earned lakhs by managing earning through advertisements from the Department of Information and Public Relations by furnishing incorrect data about staff and inflated circulations.
“Branding himself as editor of English newspaper, this blackmailer is not even able to pen down a story or capable of editing the publishing contents which is evident from the improper headings and garbage being published in his newspaper” added one officer of DIPR.
The entire advertisements so far sanctioned by DIPR in favour of this newspaper is a loss to the state exchequer and an apt case for crime branch to expose the big fraud going on under the garb of newspaper publications by furnishing wrong data about staff, infrastructure and circulations, alleged DIPR sources.
Not able to run its one newspaper properly, this editor also registered another newspaper on the name of his family member to broaden his black mailing net in the city, added sources.
This so called editor also secured selection of his daughter in government gazetted service owing to his close proximity with one PSC member as the former used to maintained the garden of this PSC member, alleged another DIPRR sources.
There is deep nexus between the father and daughter. The one leaked the inside information and the other used his newspaper to exploit this data for minting money besides securing kitchen posting for later, alleged sources.
