JAMMU: Adopting pro active approach against violators right at the initial stage of construction, the Jammu Municipal Corporation has acted swiftly against one influential violator in Shastri Nagar.

Reliable sources revealed that the JMC Commissioner has come to know about violation against the approved building plan in one under construction residential structure at 323 A Shastri Nagar.

Promptly,  taking cognisance of the matter on direction of Commissioner Avny Lavasa and supervision of Joint Commissioner Ashish Gupta, the enforcement team visited the spot and removed the violation, sources revealed.

It’s worth to mentioned here that under the incumbent JMC commissioner Avny Lavasa and Jt Commissioner (A) Ashish Gupta construction of buildings in violations of JMP 2032 has witnessed a steep fall especially in the emerging commercial and residential hubs where earlier some councillors and political leaders flaunt their muscles to shield violations in construction activities.
