JAMMU: In a minor reshuffle, the government today order transfers and posting of 22 police officers. DIG Amit Kumar, IPS has been posted as DIG Central Kashmir whereas, Sandeep Gupta, IPS awaiting order of adjustment is posted as SP North, Srinagar.
Meanwhile, taking cognisance of repeated incidents of indiscipline by traffic cops on roads due to complete absence of control of SP Pardeep Singh, the government has also posted Shiv Kumar Sharma as SSP Traffic Jammu.
The post of SSP traffic was lying vacant for past few months and was looking after by SP Pardeep Singh under whose supervision some cops climb new heights of indiscipline and in few horrible incidents start smashing citizen cars with baseball stick and fists besides using unparliamentary language against the citizens at naka which has earned traffic department shaming and criticism from the citizens and media.
