JAMMU: Taking cognisance of large scale complaints of loot against private diagnostic centres as well as laboratories on the name of CT scan amid pandemic, the Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Anshul Garg has fixed upper ceiling of rates for undergoing HRCT scan of chest at all private establishments in Jammu District.
As per order DCJ/PS/Covid-Rates/2021-22/1250-56 dated 17/05/2021, the rates for CT scan has been classified into three categories. In first category, Rs 1500 was fixed for CT scan plain. While Rs 2500 and Rs 3000 fixed for HRCT scan (<16 slides) and HRCT scan (>16 slides).
General public can lodge their complaints against private diagnostic centres regarding excess charging for CT SCAN other than the Govt notified rates on District Control Room Number-01911571616, 01912571912, 9622011623 (watsapp) & dcjammu@gmail.com-DC
Further, the order stated that these rates are applicable for all Covid as well as suspected patients and will remain in force till the pandemic.
As per order, all Divisional Magistrates as well as Tehsildars were asked to ensure immediate implementation of CT scan rates in all private diagnostic and labs running in their jurisdiction.
