JAMMU: The unpleasant sequence of events unfolding on a daily basis in Jammu University over the ‘institutional Murder’ of Prof. Chandra Shekhar have exposed the dubious stance of JUTA’s president Prof. Pankaj Srivastava over which a large chunk of varsity teaching fraternity has expressed strong reservation.
Massive resentment is brewing among the teachers who are of the view that JUTA’s President is merely a pawn in the hands of varsity administration and from day one his sole objective has been to befool the agitated teachers on the campus.
Without taking all the stake holders into confidence he on his own declared deduction of a day’s salary of teaching staff for deceased Shekhar’s wife. But, this boomeranged which is reflected from the official communication of Chief Accounts Officer.
“The Executive body meeting was convened to call off strike but strangely, JUTA president never took General Body of JUTA into confidence on crucial issues concerning Prof. Shekhar death” said a Professor.
Now, on account of embarassing exposure Prof. Pankaj Srivastava should tender his resignation and dissolve existing JUTA body forthwith for breach of trust, added another JU teacher.
