    Govt constitutes Task Force for Narcotics Crime

    JAMMU: Finally, the state government has established the Anti Narcotics Task Force(ANTF) to efficiently tackle ever growing menace and crimes related with sale and consumption of psychotrophic substance in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

    The Jammu and Kashmir High Court on numerous occasions has directed the state government for formation of task force to tackle the menace of drugs consumption among youth in the state which has assumed an alarming proportion for the last few years.

    Headed by an officer of the rank of IGP, the ANTF will initially comprised of 100 officers and officials which were easier on deputation to Anti Hijacking Unit.

    It’s worth to mentioned here that the drugs suppliers through their well knit know web has deeply penetrate in the society and has made Bahu Plaza, Green Belt Park, Wave Mall, Rajiv Nagar, Bahu Fort, GMC Parking as hot bed of drugs sales in concealed manner.

    Many youths including girls can be seen consuming drugs outside recently opened Bars club in Trikuta Nagar, Kunjwani and Bahu Plaza.
