JAMMU : The District Magistrate, Jammu, Sachin Kumar Vaishya has ordered an enquiry for action against the unscrupulous property dealers involved in cheating gullible citizens through fraudulent land deals.
Reliable sources in Revenue department said, “Taking suo motto action of a news item titled ‘Ban-Jagti becomes new Greater Kailash for Land Mafia‘, published by the JK Global News on dated June 12, the DM Jammu has deputed ACR as enquiry officer and sought detailed report about the activities of property dealers involved in cheating citizens on the name of infructuous land deals in Ban, Jagti and Panjgarian areas of Tehsil Nagrota”.
The officer visited the spot and a report prepared by Tehsildar Nagrota about notorious property dealer Harishvardhan and his accomplices has been submitted to DM Jammu office for perusal and necessary action under law, said one Revenue officer, on condition of anonymity.
