JAMMU : In a raid at city five star hotel Ramada, one Sub Inspector along with a contractor were arrested by a police team of Bagh e Bahu police station in an alleged “kidnapping” of a minor girl.
During the raid, the police party led by SHO, Bagh e Bahu Police station, Inspector Arti Thakur also recovered the “abducted” minor girl from a hotel room alongwith the arrested accused.
“To trace out the minor girl, which went missing from her home at Raika in Jammu, the police received an input about her presence in Ramada hotel” said a cop confiding anonymity.
Accordingly, a team was constituted and during search of hotel, the “missing” girl was found staying along with two persons in a room. Both the person identified as Probationer Sub Inspector (PSI) Sardar Ali, posted at Ramban and his friend Muzaffar alias Kaka, resident of Bajalta, a property dealer were arrested and booked under POCSO Act, he added.
The minor girl after medical examination was handed over to Child Welfare Committee, said police sources.
