BOGOTA : A powerful 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck western Colombia, leaving at least 132 people dead and more than 570 injured, according to the latest reports. The tremor, which struck on Monday, caused widespread destruction, with dozens of buildings collapsing and infrastructure damaged across several affected areas. Rescue teams, backed by security personnel and volunteers, continued searching damaged structures for survivors and victims. The earthquake was centred near San José del Palmar in the Chocó region and was felt across a wide area. Authorities have intensified emergency and relief operations as assessments of the damage and casualties continue.
