    Army, Medical Deptt organises health check up camp

    Poonch: A joint Civil – Military coordinated effort was undertaken to provide complete health care through a Mega Health camp organised at the premises of Pine Wood School, Hamirpur today for the benefit of villages of forward areas.

    A total of 178 patients were medically screened and provided free medicines, Facilities such as Dispensary, ECG, Basic lab investigations, Sputum examination for TB was provided during the Mega Mela. Old age certificates were issued to 130 individuals who had crossed the age of sixty and nine Disability Certificates were given to individuals who had lost their limb in Pakistan initiated CFV or were Mine casualties.Students of PWS Hamirpur also underwent a health checkups by respective specialist’s. A special counselling session was conducted covering important health issues of adolescent age group. Information regarding various health Programmes by Govt were also given to patients.

    Dr.Mumtaz Bhatti, CMO, Poonch led the Civil medical team, which included specialists like Paediatricians and Surgeons. The villagers thanked the Army and the Civil Administration for this unique initiative.
