    IMPACT: Police seize 15 tinted glasses cars

    JAMMU : With an aim to strictly enforce order of Apex Court against use of tinted films on glasses of cars besides rogue behaviour of road maniac, the police has seized 15 cars with tinted glasses and penalized 32 vehicles for traffic and Motor Vehicle Act violations.

    Worthwhile to mention here that JK Global News in its publication on Dec 8, 2024, had carried a detailed news pertaining to alarming rise in movement of banned tinted glasses four wheeler vehicles in Jammu with impunity in violation of Apex Court Court order.

    Team of police officers led by SP South, Rajesh Sharma conducted intensive checking of vehicles at special nakas placed on Thursday in Gandhinagar and Transport Nagar, Narwal area. The police team during checking seized 15 cars which were plying on road in blatant violation of SC order banning use of tinted films whereas 32 different categories of vehicles were fined for traffic violation.

    The police also lifted 10 heavy vehicles which were left abandoned along roadside and obstructing smooth movement of vehicles in Transport yard, Narwal.

    During the drive, the police team also act against those vehicles which found promoting gun culture with offending gun stickers besides plying on road with modification in contravention of MV Act.

    While appreciating endeavours of Jammu police against tinted glasses cars, the general public has urged the police for action against tinted glasses cars on regular basis especially in Mini Market area of Green Belt Park, Gole Market area of Gandhi Nagar and Sidhara for the safety of public and ensuring sense of security in the society.
