Jammu: Determined to end regional discrimination with sole aim to ensure Jammuites get their due share in political as well as administrative set up in state, Sainik Samaj Party (SSP) an amalgamation of ex servicemen, para military personnels, police and civilians has opened its front in Jammu
Col Sushil Singh Pathania (Shaurya Chakra), Chief Convenor and President SSP in an interaction with media persons here today asserted that successive political set up has failed to counter the aggression of anti Indian powers which are relentlessly enslaving our citizens through smart war tactics like cyber space propoganda, economic and ideological onslaught and thus stressed on the need for citizen soldiers by converting the society into sainik samaj so as to counter the nefarious designs of enemy countries.
Elaborating the aims of SSP, Col Pathania asserted that since long the citizens of Jammu had meted out rigorous discrimination in all spheres of life at the hands of successive centre as well as state governments which made SSP to mark its presence in the state.
Further speaking on the occasion, Col Pathania said “Quantum of regional discrimination is immensely horrible in the state which cannot be end without political intervention and our party having its presence in length and breadth of the country since 2011 will begin its fight by fielding their candidates in just announced municipal elections in the state. Besides having concrete plans to contest assembly as well parliamentary elections in J&K.
He also announced Rajeshwar Singh Slathia as candidate for municipal election from Sainik Colony and said that SSP will aware society through its citizen soldiers for scrapping of 35 A, grant of minority status to Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists in the state, ending discrimination in government jobs as well as in PSUs.
While clearing his stand on Rohingyas, Col Pathania said “Illegal immigrants are threat to nation and thus need to evicted in a time bound manner to ensure safety of the state subjects and protecting its beautiful environment”
For the welfare measure of retired defence personnel, Col Pathania said that the soldiers belonging to J&K have tradition of earning valor and countless sacrifices in defending the nation and SSP will ensure to provide reservation for ex-servicemen of J&K at par with neighboring state of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab where they are getting 14% reservation in government jobs instead of 6% in J&K.
