    Focus on ‘Nari Sashaktikaran’ St Peter celebrates annual day

    Jammu: St. Pete’s High School today celebrated Annual Day cum Christmas celebration with the theme Nari Sashaktikaran.
    The Chief Guest on the ocassion was Anuradha Gupta, Director School Education, Jammu, Rev. Fr. Jose Vadakkel (Vice President, Diocese of Jammu Srinagar Education Society was the Guest of Honour and Rev Fr. T.S Jacob (Chairman Diocese of Jammu-Srinagar Education Board presided over the function.
    The programme commenced with lighting of the traditional lamp ceremony. The principal of the school Rev. Fr. S. Joseph welcomed the August gathering.
    The chief guest Anuradha Gupta KAS addressed the gathering and highly appreciated the efforts of Peterines for presenting a colourful programme with the most powerful theme Nari Sashaktikaran. She stressed on the need of empowering women to have a better India. She also appreciated the principal of the school Rev. Fr. S. Joseph for havingbeautifully presented school Annual Report by using video format.
    The blessing of peace, the beauty of hope, The Spirit of love, the comfort of faith, may this be your gift in this Christmas season said Fr. Jose Vadakkel.
    The play based on the theme Nari Sashaktikaran focused on the pathetic condition of women in Indian society and the need to empower women to get a better and the small but significant step taken by the Petrines can bring a huge and positive change in the society.
    Christmas Play was another attraction of the programme, which added flavor to the festivity. Christmas carols filled the air with the aroma of Christmas celebration.
    The programme ended with vote of thanks by Aryan Bhat and cutting of the Christmas cake and Christmas carols.
