JAMMU: Enraged regional political parties in unison launched attack on Chief Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam for his statement where he held politicains of erstswhile J&K state for massive frauds everywhere.
Irked over the Subrahmanyam remark that “not a single soul cried” over the detention of political leaders after the Parliament’s abrogation of Article 370, National Conference tried to link the bureaucracy in the UT to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and claimed that the two were parroting the same line of thought.
The NC’s spokesperson Imran Nabi said “It is quite alarming where a serving civil servant is overtly spewing venom against the entire mainstream political spectrum to hide the abject failures of the administration under him since 20 June 2018.”
Whereas, Mehbooba Mufti-led People’s Democratic Party (PDP) goes to the extent of branding Subrahmanyam as a viceroy of Union Govt who descended in J&K with a colonial mindset.
PDP also accused him of being the chief executioner of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in the Kashmir Valley.
On the other hand, the People’s Conference in a statement conveyed Subrahmanyam to”speak within his pay and grade.”
The PC spokesperson said “Kashmir has this problem where people get delusions of grandeur. It seems like the Chief Secretary is the latest victim.
“If the utterances of the Chief Secretary are any indicators of what he thinks of himself and this is what he briefs his bosses, then Delhi doesn’t need enemies in Kashmir.” reads statement.
