SAMBA: The vigilant team of forest has foiled attempt of locals to encroached upon forest land by digging the land for road with the help of JCB in the pitch of dark in compartment number 41 of Samba Forest Division.
As per available reports, acting on the input, the Range Officer, Mahourgarh Range, Wajid Rafiqui alongwith team of forest officials swung into action and reached the spot where some locals were digging road on forest land unauthorisedly taking advantage of dark in the intervening night of June 5 by engaging one JCB. The forest team seized the JCB and initiated action.
The entire action was initiated under the supervision of DFO, Samba, Som Dutt Khajuria.
