REASI: In it’s relentless war against the growing menace of drug abuse, the district police Reasi on Tuesday booked a notorious drug peddler of under Public Safety Act (PSA) and sent him to Central Jail Kot Bhalwal, Jammu.
The drug peddler identified as Talib Hussain S/O Noor Alam R/O Sirla Bhagga Reasi was found involved in drug peddling case FIR no 41/2020 US 8/22 NDPS Act, FIR no. 60/2021 US 8/21/22 NDPS Act, and FIR no 142/2021 US 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act of Police station Reasi.
The Senior Superintendent of Police, Reasi, Amit Gupta prepared the dossiers of accused drug peddlers which was accordingly accorded assent by the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu.
Besides drug peddling cases, Talib was also found involved case FIR no 33/2019 US 435/457 RPC, 4/25 Arms Act, and case FIR no 78/2022 US 279/304 A IPC of Police Station Reasi.
To contained his activities he was also booked under preventive sections 110 CrPC and 36 Police Act in 2021.
