JAMMU: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has registered a case against former Assistant Commissioner (Revenue), Jammu, Nisar Ahmad Shad, and four private beneficiaries over alleged illegal permissions for transfer of “Gair Mumkin Khad” land.
FIR No. 12/2026 was registered at Police Station ACB Central, Jammu, following a preliminary enquiry that allegedly found prima facie evidence of misuse of official position between May 23 and July 11, 2018.
The enquiry pertains to nine permissions issued for alienation or transfer of Khad land in Chowadi and Deeli, allegedly in violation of revenue laws, government orders and High Court directions.
Although the permissions cited approval of the then Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, ACB said verification found no corresponding approval, note sheet or delegation order in official records.
The case has been registered under relevant provisions of the J&K Prevention of Corruption Act and RPC. Investigation is underway.
