Mumbai: Akshay Kumar is one of the few Bollywood actors who’s known for not mincing his words (much like his wife Twinkle Khanna). The actor has time and again, voiced his opinions on issues that concern the society at large. Now, in the current scenario, when the BJP is facing a lot of flak for the ever-increasing petrol and diesel prices, burning a hole in the pockets of the common man, Akshay Kumar is being trolled mercilessly on Twitter. Why you ask? Well, the actor apparently deleted one of his old tweets, in which he had criticised the rising petrol prices during the UPA regime, back in the year 2012.
“Guys, I think it’s time to clean up your bicycles and hit the road! As per sourcs, expecting another petrol price hike”, Akshay Kumar had tweeted on February 27, 2012. How did his old tweet surface again? Well, a parody account by the name of ‘Unofficial Sususwamy’ quoted that particular tweet of Akshay and wrote, “Akshay Sir, Big Fan! Can you please lend me your bycycle? I’ll get it cleaned.”
However, the catch is, that Akshay’s old tweet that was quoted, was soon found to have been erased from social media, for reasons best known to the actor. This irked a number of netizens who started trolling him brutally on Twitter. While some referred to him as a Canadian, other’s called him an ‘ABVP supporter’
