Udhampur: Army has always been the flag bearer of peace, youth empowerment and social upliftment of the society. In persisting with these efforts and to appropriately recognize the achievements of the youth, the Army felicitated meritorious students from the local villages who secured 85 percentage and above in Higher Secondary Examination, J&K Board of Secondary Education.
In all seven toppers were felicitated in which five were girls, who despite overwhelming odds, such as lack of infrastructure, poor connectivity and belonging to far flung areas which is perpetually under threat of shelling, being closer to LC, by virtue of their hard work and dedication delivered outstanding results. The performance of these students is reflective of their thirst for knowledge and determination and to succeed in life. The success of these students and their recognition by the Army has encouraged the other students and locals to put in their best and enhance their knowledge and skill through hard work, perseverance and education.
Speaking on the occasion Sarpanch, Kalal applauded the efforts of Army to encourage the students and empowering the youth. The senior most Army Officer present for the occasion appreciated the efforts of students and motivated them to do well in their pursuit of excellence and getting a profession of their choice such as civil servants, doctors, engineers, entrepreneur, academicians etc.
