    Army organises awarness programme on disaster management

    Doda:Indian Army and Civil Administration jointly organised a Disaster Management Exercise at Doda today.  The aim of this exercise was to enhance the preparedness & coordinated response by Army & all departments of Civil Administration including Police, SRDF, Fire & Emergency Service, PHE, R & B and CMO in an eventuality of any disaster occurring due to natural calamity / sabotage and to spread awareness among the common masses specially the youth.

    Army conducted a lecture cum demonstration during the exercise. Display on counter lED eqpt, fire fighting, first aid & casualty evacuation and emergency rescue equipment was also conducted at the end of the workshop.  Mock drills on contingencies were also conducted by Army, SDRF, CMO and Fire & Emergency Services to increase the awareness and preparedness level of common people in face of a disaster/natural calamity.  As part of the event, a mock rescue and first aid exercise was also conducted at Community Hall Doda. Quick Reaction Teams comprising of Army, Police and members of Chenab Rescuers participated in the exercise.

    Indian Army, SP Ops, ASP, Tehsildar Doda and HoDs of various departments participated in the disaster management exercise. 250 students & school staff also witnessed the exercise.
