KATHUA: With a sole objective to take insight of problems faced by people in village and delivering services at their door step the visiting officer today held interaction with PRIs representatives and functionaries of different departments in Panchayat Chandwan in Tehsil Mehreen in District Kathua.
On first day of the three day program, the visiting officer Pardeep Singh Manhas, KAS, Jt Director Handloom inspected the ongoing development works and took assessment of the further intervention needed for removing the hurdles in the much needed development in the area.
On the oacssion several locals apprised the visiting officers about the problem being faced by them in obtaining domicile certificate.
Listening to the problems, Mr Manhas instructed the concerned Tehsildar to issue the domicile certificate to the PRC holders in accordance with advisory issued by the government.
At special gram sabhas, the visiting officers profiled the public issues and demands and assured the people of redress of all the genuine grievances in a time bound manner with intervention of the concerned departments.
They also issued on spot directions to the concerned field functionaries to take cognizance of the issues pertaining to their sectors which were raised during the public interactions.
