SAMBA : Continue with action against corrupt officials, the team of Central Bureau of Investigation on Saturday arrested a Junior Assistant posted in the office of District Industries Centre, Samba for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.15,000.
Sources in CBI said “The clerk identified as Gopal Raj Sharma was demanding bribe of Rs 20,000 for release of subsidy in Rs 10 lakh PMEGP loan availed by the complainant. The case was sponsored by the office of GM , DIC Samba.
Finally, the accused clerk agreed at Rs 15,000. Today, the trap was laid and as soon as the accused clerk accepted the bribe amount he was immediately arrested, said sources.
He was lodged in the police station and a case under relevant section anti corruption was registered.
