UDHAMPUR :Nearly 80 people, including scores of children were injured due to collapse of a foot bridge in Chenani area.
The incident took place at Beni Sangam in the Bain village of Chenani block during Baisakhi celebrations.
The bridge collpased due to “overloading”, says Rameah Kumar, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu. No loss of life has been reported.
Though the administration has maintained that only six persons were injured in the incident. However, eye witnesses claimed that more than 80 persons receive injuries due to bridge collapse.
