    CJM rejects bail in about 22 crore bitcoin scam

    Jammu: CJM Jammu Ashwani Sharma rejected the bail application of Santosh Kumar resident of Delhi who was arrested  by the Police Station Trikuta Nagar in alleged 22 crore bitcoin scam.

    CJM Jammu Ashwani Sharma after hearing after hearing Senior PO Rohit Gupta with PO Arvind Jamwal for the State whereas Adv M R Daing  observed that as per CD file FIR No.20/18 P/S Economic Offences Wing New Delhi and FIR No.544/17 P/S Dabri South West Delhi have also been registered U/Ss 406/420/34 RPC and U/S 420, 120-B. 506, 34 RPC respectively and the instant FIR has also been registered against the accused U/Ss 420/409/ 120-B RPC and it has come in the police as well as CD file that the accused along with his wife and manager Arun Kumar has duped the complainant and had embezzled  Rs.22 Crore. The accused is involved in the commission of Economic offence and the allegations against the accused are serious in nature and the public money is involved in the commission of offence particularly that the complainant. While deciding a bail application the larger interest of the state are to be taken into consideration by the court, viz-a-viz the individual interest. With these observations CJM Jammu rejected the bail application.
