    Construction Co in Dock: Portion of Ramban tunnel collapse

    RAMBAN: Portion of an under construction tunnel near shaitani nallah collapsed due to which several workers of construction company trapped under the debris.

    The work of collapsed tunnel is managed by Sarla construction company. Sources in DC office Ramban said ” This is a serious lapse and the administration will look into all aspects including the quality of material used to ascertain the reasons which led to the cave in of an under construction tunnel in Ramban.

    Initial reports confirmed that the tunnel collapsed late on Thursday night. During the rescue operation, body of one labourer retrieved besides ten others who were trapped inside the tunnel were rescued live.

    Senior civil and police functionaries reached the spot to take assessment of the rescue operation to rescue those lying inside the debris.

    As per available reports, the incident took place at around 10.15 pm on Thursday with sudden collapse of T3 tunnel caved-in resulting to trap of more nearly dozen labourers of Sarla construction company.
