    Cops crackdown on ‘Bhalle Ki Lanka’, 13 Narco peddlers sent to Jail

    With tactical shift in abolishing practice of repeating same set of blue eyed SHOs’ and SDPOs’, the war against narco terrorism has started yielding desired results in J&K. Remedy for sprawling narco terrorism lies in regular performance evaluation of officers with thumb rule- Perform or Perish.

    JAMMU: Rajeev Nagar, a highly disorganised hamlet built largely on encroached state land notoriously refered as ‘Bhalei Ki Lanka’ in political circle and safe haven for inter state criminals, narco distributors, human traffickers, gamblers besides illegal immigrants from Bangladesh and Myanmar is regularly in news for devilish activities.

    In in its resolve to uproot the oozing point of narco distribution and it’s traders, the police in early morning hours on Tuesday carried crackdown in ‘Bhalei Ki Lanka and arrested 13 identified criminals having history of chronic unlawful activities especially drug trafficking.

    The police contingent led by SP South, Ajay Sharma and comprised SDPO East Shehzad Ali, SHO Bagh e Bahu Inspector Vijay Verma and incharge PP Narwal carried intense search operation leading to arrest of 13 persons which were send to Central Jail for 15 days apprehending their unwanted activities as potential threat to ongoing General elections. Law abiding and well meaning citizens of the locality has appreciated the endeavours of police for mounting pressure on law breakers especially narco traders through intense patrolling and surprise checking in Rajeev Nagar areas

    In surprise raid, 4 women among 13 criminals were picked up and lodged in Jail. The arrested criminals identified as Rocky S/O Raju, Vinay S/O Vikas, Vishal @Kalu S/O Ram Singh, Rohit S/O Suraj Prakash, Sangeeta W/O Deepak Kumar, Arun S/O Mohinder, Hina W/O Mohinder, Reena W/O Bobby, Arun S/O Ram Singh, Vishal S/O Ram Singh, Totu S/O Neek Ram, Pooja W/O Mishal and Ranjana Kumari W/O Vishal.

    It is worth to mentioned here that under the leadership of DGP R.R.Swain, the police has geared it’s men and machinery to desimate network of narco terrorism operating from across the border and established it’s tentacles in every nook and corner of the J&K UT in the past.
