    Councillors rap Mayor’s Jammu autocratic behaviour

    JAMMU : Fed up with autocratic, uncultured and unmannered behaviour of Mayor Jammu, all the independent councillors on Friday organised a protest demonstration.

    Holding placards the agitated Councillors while denouncing the unbecoming behaviour of Mayor organised drum beatings protest in to awaken the LG’s administration from deep slumber on long pending problems being faced by residents of JMC limit.

    In a press statement, the agitated Councillors said that this protest demonstration was the only medium to draw the attention of the authorities towards several significant matters which so far failed to get desired attention from the corridors of power through laid down norms.

     “All the protests in General House Meeting by Councilors of all parties
    besides unanimously adopted resolution forwarded to LG
    failed to evince any response , reads the statement.

    The various burning demands including withdrawal of property tax, immediate roll back of inflated electricity bills as well as smart electricity meters in Jammu and restoration of aged, widow and differently pension, clarification on water bills imposition on the public and the installation of smart water
    meters.

    Furthermore, criticising the undesired actions of Mayor, the press statement reads ” Mayor continuously giving unfounded information in the GHM and through the print and electronic media by hiding the facts from the public”.

    Those participated in the protest includes Gourav Chopra, Bhanu Mahajan, Amit Gupta, Rajni Bala, Anu Bali, Dwarka Nath Choudhary, Dr.Yuddhvir Singh, Inderjeet Kour Randhawa, Inder Singh Sudan, Pritam Singh, Kamal Singh Jamwal, Rani Devi and Sobat Ali.
