    DDC Doda reviews Ramzaan arrangements

    Doda:District Development Commissioner, Bhawani Rakwal reviewed the arrangements for upcoming holy month of Ramadan ,here today.

    Assistant Commissioner Revenue Tariq Hussain Naik, CPO Yoginder Katoch, Dy SP Hq Iftikhar Ahmed, Tehsildar Doda Giasul Haq, Executive engineer PWD (R&B) B. L Thusoo, officials  besides members of Seerat Committee, presidents of different trade unions and prominent citizens attended the meeting.

    The meeting devised a strategy  to provide hassle free essential services to the people in the holy month and to ensure that they may not face any problem with regard to supply of essential commodities, drinking water, electricity, traffic management, security and sanitation.

    DDC directed the police department to deploy sufficient number of security personnel around mosques, business areas and other places during the day as well as night.

    Responding to the issues raised by the representatives of Seerat committee and President Beopar Mandal/ Butcher Association, the DC directed PDD and PHE department to take measures to provide adequate services to the people.

    While directing  FCS & CA to constitute checking squads to intensify market checking, he asked  the market inspection committee to conduct regular inspection to overcharging, hoarding and black marketing besides ensuring quality check of  food items being supplied to the people.

    PDD Department was directed to ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity during the month especially during sehri and iftiar time.

    DDC asked Municipal Committee to maintain proper sanitation and cleanliness in and around the places of worships and also installation of street lights around Masjids.    The committee also fixed the rate of live chicken, dressed chicken and mutton in the town.
