JAMMU: The Pacca Danga Police station has started exercise to trace out Rahul Jamwal so as to booked him under relevant sections of laws for indulging in unlawful acts by filling fake complainants misusing Governor grievances cell with malafide intentions to malign indelible reputation of Editor JK Global News.
The police officer, wishing anonymity said “While verifying contents of Jamwal’s complaint which was forward to police station by JK Grievances Cell, it came to fore that Rahul Jamwal deliberately not furnished his contact number and address neither provided evidences in support of complaint”
In addition, the content of complaint is exactly similar to highly objectionable texts inscribed on a photo of the editor which was viral by some anti-social elements in Channi Himmat, he said. “This is a criminal conspiracy by a group of anti social elements who resorts to such unlawful acts of vengeance against the Editor of JK Global News for highlighting various ills prevailing in the society, the police officer avers.
The Police after recording the statement of the JK Global News Editor has written to the officials of cyber police and NIC to furnished the IP adress from which the anonymous Rahul Jamwal has lodged fake complainant in Governor grievances cell.
The process will take time but soon invisible Rahul Jamwal and other co conspirators involved in the crime will be traced out and booked for two criminal offences -one for engaging police in fake complainant exercise and the other for filling fake complaints and circulating photo of the victim with defamatory contents in watsapp group of Channi Himmat residents, said the investigator.
“We are zeroing on some individuals including some anti social elements which also includes a notorious blackmailer and self styled Journalist and if situation arise their call details, mobile locations and deleted watsapp history will be retract to put them behind bars” said a senior police officer.
