    HC directs JMC for removal of unauthorized mobile towers

    Jammu: In a public interest litigation seeking removal of all mobile transmitting towers from the residential areas to such places which have been specifically earmarked as per the guidelines of the Jammu Municipal Corporation to avoid fatal consequences on living population owing to radiation emitted by these towers.

    A Division Bench of state high court comprising Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice Sanjay Kumar Gupta counsels for the PIL, took serious note and directed JMC to take action against companies whose mobile towers have been found installed unauthorized in accordance with law and directed the respondent to file a report within a period of two weeks with regard to the action taken to ascertain the levels of radiations.
