BHOPAL: In a shocking case of gross medical negligence, the vaccinator have jeopardized lives of pupils by administering COVID 19 dose to nearly 30 students of reputed school with only single syringe in Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday.

As per reports, this horrible took place at the Jain Public Higher Secondary School in Sagar city where vaccinator Jitendra Rai administered COVID 19 dose to students.

The matter hog limelight when one of the one of the parents identified as Dinesh Namdev, noted the grave medical anomaly and raised alarm.

Namdev, father of a class 9th standard student when enquired from the vaccinator as to how many syringes used for administering corona vaccine to the students, he was shell shocked with reply. “30-40 children had been vaccinated with just one syringe, replied vaccinator.

Clarifying on the issue, Jitendra in a viral video recorded by agitated students said he had been ordered by the “head of the department” to vaccinate all the children with one single syringe.

“I know that. This is why I asked them if I have to use just one syringe and they said ‘yes’. How is this fault? I did what I was asked to do,” NDTV quoted Jitendra as saying when he was asked if he was aware that one syringe should not be used to inject multiple people.

The administration has ordered an enquiry into the medical negligence and an FIR has been lodged against Jitendra for negligence and blatantly violating the Central government’s “one needle pledge.
