JAMMU : The Pacca Danga police has arrested one Suraj Nischal s/o Kedar Nath R/o Jullakha Mohalla allegedly for threatening and outraging the modesty of a widow woman with a motive to grab her land in Pir Khou area under the jurisdiction of Pacca Danga police station.
Reliable sources, said that the accused who is running a shop by name and style Shri Kishan Kanihya Jeweller at Jain Bazar, as per the complainant has assaulted and outraged her modesty solely with an intention to grab her house in Peer Khou area of Jhullakaha Mohalla.
Acting on the complaint of the victim, the police arrested Suraj Nischal alongwith his accomplice and registered case against them in FIR No 24/2023 dated 10/2/2023 u/s 354, 506, 323 and 34 and lodged them at Chowk Chabutra Police Post.
The complainant woman while interacting with JK Global News said that the accused persons is allegedly threatening her to vacate the house with an intention to grab the land.
Pertinently, a land mafia is active in Peer Khou area which is openly engaged in encroachment of state /forest land in and around the revered religious spot and subsequently sold it to gullible buyers.
The locals of the area has appealed the LG as well as District Magistrate Jammu to act against this pro active land mafia operating with impunity in Pir Khou area of Jammu city.
