Jammu : Claiming to enjoy patronage of Jammu Municipal Corporation Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta, one Ramesh Wazir who works as Khilafwarzi inspector now a days assumed himself more powerful than his Commissioner Pankaj Magotra.
There are reports that several structures were raised in areas which are alloted to this dramatist enforcement inspector Ramesh Wazir.
Pointing to one such commercial construction along roadside in Qasim Nagar, JMC sources revealed that in broadday light this commercial shop was raised on 12, August, 2019 but the enforcement inspector Ramesh Wazir refuses to act against it.
“This is an open act of corruption” JMC sources alleged. The job of the enforcement inspector is to report illegal constructions going on in his alloted wards” said another Khilafwarzi inspector. However, if the concerned Khilafwarzi Inspector remained mum then it’s a clear act of an under hand deal, added sources.
Ever since Ramesh Wazir entrusted job of reporting illegal constructions in Gandhi Nagar, Qasim Nagar, Shastri Nagar and Satwari areas there is sudden spurt of illegal constructions in these areas besides he also start acting like a super commissioner.
It’s worth to mention here that there are nearly dozens illegal residential as well as commercial structures constructed in Gandhi Nagar in and around Lakshmi Narayana Mandir with the influence of Corporator Bhanu Mahajan.
Surprisingly, Bhanu Mahajan always praised Ramesh Wazir as the later always remained mum on these illegal constructions for reasons best known to him.
“In market he openly flaunts his close association with Mayor JMC and brags that neither Commissioner nor Principal secretary Housing and Urban Development have guts to touch him” said one official working in the JMC Commissioner chamber.
When JKGN team asked Ramesh Wazir about the illegal structure raised on first floor on roadside in Qasim Nagar, he said “Yes, I know about it but will never report it as I work as per choice and taste” When asked further this is in contrast to his assigned duties he retorts “Go and report it to Pankaj Magotra”
Sources further alleged that this Khilafwarzi Inspector mostly charged hefty amount for allowing unauthorised constructions in his areas.
