    JMC re-seals ‘Roshan Shah Jewellers’ showroom in Channi Himmat

    JAMMU: The Jammu Municipal Corporation authorities on Friday have re-seal the showroom of Roshan Shah Jewellers which was running in violation of land use at 8/6 residential building in Channi Himmat.

    Earlier, the building was sealed last year for starting major commercial activities in residential premises in violation of building bye laws. However, after undertaking in court wherein, the owner of 8/6 has submitted affidavit urging the court for de-sealing on the condition to windup the newly opened business activities in the residential premises.

    On getting complaints about failure to abide by the undertaking given in court, the JMC found that the business was still running from the premises. Upon, this  the JMC invoking COBO Act, 1988 again re sealed the premises.
