Jammu: Senior Volunteers of Jammu University namely Vikas Pandita (M.C.A. Dept), Vivek Parihar (Chemistry Dept), Harpreet Singh (Dogri Dept) and Gotam Sharma (Dogri Dept) along with local volunteers of Trilokpur Village started Wall Painting in the village.

Addressing the Media persons, Vikas Pandita said, “The wall painting is a part of Swachh Bharat Summer Internship Programme. We have planned to paint the walls of community hall, Govt school and Panchayat Ghar with the slogans and drawings related to cleanliness. It will be a 2 day activity as it takes a huge amount of time to paint the drawing.”

Vivek Parihar added, “The walls were not clean, so we needed extra effort for scratching the walls and then paint it with distemper so that it gives smooth surface for our drawings. The local kids also participated in slogan writing and helped us in making wall paintings.”

Harpreet Singh also addressed the media and said, “ Pictorial representation is the beautiful way of conveying the message as it leaves a greater impact on the people especially kids. Colorful drawings are always attractive and hence will play an important role in spreading the message of cleanliness.”
