Kathua: The Kendriya Vidyalaya today celebrated its annual day function which was in the Army auditorium with full enthusiasm. Brig. Anil Jain, Commander 401, Artillery Brigade, Chairman VMC was the chief guest on the occasion who was received by D.R.Patel, the Principal of KV Lakhanpur.
The colorful function was inaugurated by Brig. Jain by lighting the traditional lamp which was followed by the saraswati vandna presented by a group of students . The students of the school welcomed the guests and parents with welcome song.
On the occasion, the principal Patel highlighted the achievements of the school during the session 2017-18. Besides the students presented various cultural items comprising a wonderful dance performance by primary children, Gujarati Dance, Dogri Folk Dance. The patriotic group song and Punjabi folk dance’ bhangra and giddah’ attracted the audience.
The chief Guest gave away the prizes to students for their excellent performance. Speaking on the occasion Brig Jain focused on the responsibilities of teachers and parents in all-round development of the students.
