NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for a shift in India’s technological ambitions, saying the country must move beyond adopting innovations developed elsewhere and emerge as a global creator of new technologies.
Addressing the Emerging Science, Technology and Innovation Conclave 2026 in New Delhi, Modi highlighted advances in artificial intelligence, semiconductors, space research and battery storage.
He stressed that scientific progress must serve humanity rather than become merely an instrument of warfare, urging young innovators to drive India’s technological transformation.
