JAMMU: Tearing apart the upcoming Kingdom of Naggar Singh alias Nago, the Jammu Municipal Corporation has send a shock down the spine of all self styled dons who used to flaunt their muscles in town hall building of Urban Local Body to carry on their illegal bussiness.
Indeed this demolition has help regain the lost gleam and grit of the enforcement wing which over the years has been turned toothless due to excessive political interference and weak bosses, avers one JMC officer preferring anonymity.
The decision of the JMC Commissioner Avny Lavasa to dismantle the vast illegal structure of a person who have strong hold in the administration and sway fear among gullible citizens is a clear indication to the violators to fell in line or face the music, he added.
Sticking to it’s plan, today Avny along with Joint Commissioner Ashish Gupta (A) personally reached the spot along with enforcement team and pressed men and machinery to demolish the vast structure where the Nagar was constructing 15 floor super speciality hospitals on ghair mumkin khad without any approved plan from JMC and permission from Divisional Commissioner, Jammu headed Advisory Traffic Committee.
The demolition of a building belongs to a strong muscle man is an indication of rechristened of JMC into a gigantic organisation under it’s Commissioner Avny Lavasa and Principal Secretary Housing and Urban Development Dheeraj Gupta, added sources.
To emboldened the moral of the team, both Commissioner as well Joint Commissioner remained stationed at the spot till the accomplishment of the task, as per reports.
Later, the demolition exercise which started in the morning at 6 am was stopped at around 2 pm when the violator reached the demolition site with status quo order granted by Chairman, J&K Special Tribunal.
The two day demolition excercise of JMC against the Nagar Singh building has been widely appreciated by the people who in the past were always remained critical of former due to it’s biased action against the common citizens and sparing the high and mighty.
