NEW DELHI : Taking suo-motto cognizance of mdia reports, the National Human Rights Commission, NHRC has issued notices to Haryana Chief Secretary and the Director General of Police, DGP regarding the death of four persons who died after inhaling toxic fumes while cleaning the sewer tank in a private hospital in Faridabad district of Haryana yesterday.
NHRC asked for a detailed report within four weeks including the measures taken by the state government or is likely to be taken to prevent such gross violation of the human rights of poor and underprivileged people.
NHRC also directed authorities to inform about the status of the FIR registered in the matter and compensation given to the next of kin of the deceased persons.
