    PP Sainik colony seizes illicit liquor consignment

    In a continued effort to curb illegal activities and ensure public safety, the police post sainik colony has seized a significant quantity of illicit liquor during a naka checking.

    Acting on credible inputs, the police party at naka intercepted a person carrying gunny bag, and upon thorough inspection, 55 bottles of ‘Dalujas’ special whiskey and 11 ‘godfather’ tin cans beer  being transported without valid documents.

    The individual transporting the illegal consignment has been identified as Amit Kumar @ poddar S/o vidhya anad R/O vishali patna bihar A/p Chowadhi jammu.

    He has been taken into custody and a case under the Excise Act has been registered at Police Station channi himmat. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the source and intended destination of the illicit liquor.

    Under the direction of SP South and SDPO East, Jammu Police, South Zone reiterated its commitment to cracking down on illegal trade and activities, encouraging the public to cooperate and report suspicious movements in their areas.
